Dave | Guitar & Vocals
Dave handles guitar and vocal duties, and serves as leader for the band. He most recently played (for all but about 6 of the last 36 years) with local Reno classic rock groups “Papa Clutch and the Shifters”, “Route 66”, and “TBD”.
Dave was born in San Antonio, Texas and spent the first 20 years or so of his life as an “Air Force brat”, traveling to Air Force bases in Texas, Japan and Panama. He spent a few years as a professional musician and audio recording engineer in the Southeast US, before settling for good in Reno in 1979.
Dave currently owns a small software company, writing and supporting casino management systems as his “day job”, but music is still his passion (second only to his Christian faith, his wife and their combined 6 kids and 6 grandkids).

Tom | Bass
Tom was born in Monterey Ca. and raised in San Francisco. He started his musical journey playing with a high school “cover” band, and eventually joined the San Francisco Musicians Union at age 17, honing his musical talents among Bay Area bands for 15 years. He moved to Reno, and after taking time off from music to start a family, his wife Mary Ann got him and their two sons involved in a Polynesian Review performing in Nevada and California until his sons went off to college.
Besides connecting with his musical roots, previously performing with Route 66 and Papa Clutch and the Shifters, and TBD. Tom also served on Summit Christian Church’s Worship Team, Celebrate Recovery’s Worship Team, and was the former Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery (a Christian-based 12 step program).
Although his main instrument is bass guitar, Tom also plays keyboards and ukulele.

Beverly | Lead Vocals
Beverly has been on the Reno / Sparks music scene since the early 80’s as a vocalist and occasional multi-instrumentalist. Classically trained and a former jingle singer, her favorite styles include standards, country, oldies, pop & rock. In between touring with her band, “Memory Lane”, in Germany, she also fed her love for Broadway musicals with roles in numerous community theater productions.
Since moving to Reno, she worked the casino and club circuit with several bands and the popular local duo, “Pride and Joy”. She is most recognizable as the former lead singer for “Papa Clutch and the Shifters”.
In 2016, she rediscovered the ukulele and formed the group, “The Biggest Little Ukulele Ensemble” (“The BLUE”), spreading the joy of music and corny jokes at senior residences and care facilities, as well as performing as a single artist for various local & regional events. A few more bands and a duo followed, and then to “TBD”, which led her here.
She is excited to embark on new adventures in music with her bandmates in the new Papa Clutch!

Charlie | Drums
Charlie is the newest member. He’s a Reno Native, and the only band member born in the 21st century. He grew up surrounded by music, from listening to Police, the Who, and Rush CD’s in the car, to watching his dad’s band, the Bubba’s, play.
He’s played a lot of different music in his life thus far, from a short-lived rock band summer camp in middle school to concert band in high school, as well as playing with worship bands at Our Lady of the Snows and The Bridge. He also releases music independently on Spotify and other streaming platforms under the name “Charlemain”.
